No seat at the Aussie Millions for me

Well I am happy to say that from a field of 4155 players I finished the Aussie Millions Qualifier in 207th place. My Ac Qh falling to As 9c with the board showing A79-4-7. I was hoping that my Aces and Sevens was good enough but he held a trump card.

It was definitely the usual onlne poker night with a number of swings and round-abouts. I really thought the poker gods were smiling on me after I pushed all in with roughly $1100 in chips getting three callers with pocket Queens and the flop giving me the absolute nuts with the other two Queens in the deck.

Again I thought I was high in their favour when a couple of hands later I was dealt pocket Jacks. Again I pushed my remaining chips into the center and had one caller who isolated me with a $16000 raise and showing AQ off-suit. I thought I was done when an Ace hit the flop and then another on the turn. But the miracle card floated down the river and I made Jacks over Aces to double up.

Pocket Queens and Jacks came again for me after I was moved to another table with pretty much the same result – more chips for me. A few more good wins had me in a solid position for some time. But a few bad limp-ins cost me and not taking in what had happened on my final table in previous hands most likely cost me going further in the game. I guess over 220 minutes of concentration does take its toll but I am happy with my play and for going reasonably deep. Bring on the PPC and the ANZPT!
