Nine Inch Nails Brilliant
To say Nine Inch Nails has helped shape me over the years would be an understatement. I was beside myself when they announced their tour dates for Australia and made sure I had tickets to see them when they played at Festival Hall. Gordon and I rocked up to the screeching banshee that was ‘Jaguar Love’. I still don’t know if the lead ‘singer’ was male or female but they certainly knew how to scream their lungs out for every word of the set. I think I need an ear transplant. Sorry to any fans and the band but they were just abysmal. Needless to say the biggest cheer they received was when they announced NIN would be on soon. YAY! Continue reading
Phil Tsakaros
A great mentor and someone who inspired me in my work at Pacnet passed away on Sunday November 9th. His humour, no nonsense insight and customer focus will be sorely missed and I can only hope to emulate him in some way befitting presently and in the future. My thoughts are with Lisa, Tayla and Mitchell at this time.
Bring on the Mo!
Ocsober is nearly over – yay! But the big fundraiser of the year is almost upon us. The razors are on the starting line for Mo Pacnet. We raised $2477 last year ($1000 of which raised by myself) and hope to break the $3000 mark in 09. We have $150 in sponsorship and Movember hasn’t even started. Obanyaki Yum Yum
While looking for some dinner this evening, I happened across a snack store selling waffles and the Japanese favourite, Obanyaki. This dessert sweet is traditionally filled with red bean paste sandwiched between what you would call really thick pancakes – slightly smaller than the palm of your hand. Continue reading
