After some mucking around and playing around I have finally got my act together to re-launch lalordotnet. It’s built on WordPress 2.5 RC2 at the moment and using a slightly modified version of the Stilbruch theme from Amy & Pink. Still have some work to do to fill it out in regards to content, but that will come eventually. I hope to launch v3.5 in the coming week that will include my own theme and a few other extras. I do have some ideas already for v4 that I hope will bring some substance to web design rather than the bog standard templates that everyone see these days.

Political Correctness
Something I said a while back thinking about political correctness that I did not want to forget. It’s just an observation that seems a little too close to home in this day and age (or possibly just around the corner). But don’t read too much into it. It came about when considering how careful we need to be about talking about general life and what the correct term is so as not to offend some one. So now I quote myself from some time in 2006, “Political correctness is a step towards a futuristic police state where everything in our general lives is monitored”. The same could be said about social networking and blogging, where people are quite happy to have themselves monitored on a global scale by freely expressing themselves in a somewhat chaotic medium.
